Support for the RMBF

The Royal Medical Benevolent Fund exists to relieve hardship among doctors and their families. It might be thought that this is unnecessary nowadays but illness and age can affect anyone and lead to financial hardship.

The Belfast Medical Society and the Ulster Medical Society were accustomed in the past to support the Medical Benevolent Fund of Ireland, and the Council of the Ulster Medical Society felt that today we should offer similar support to the RMBF.

All money collected is well spent and we would encourage you to subscribe. Donations can be Gift Aided as long as you pay sufficient income tax.

We hope to be able to provide literature at every meeting of the Society.

The Royal Medical Benevolent Fund has set up a website called Support4Doctors which aims to put doctors and their families in touch with a range of organisations which can help in times of need.
